VENUE DEFINITIONS

Amphitheatre

An open space surrounded by an oval area that gradually ascends. It is suited for seating people on the sloping area for the viewing of spectator sports, games, concerts, or theatrical performances.

Arena

An enclosed area used for large public events such as sporting events and concerts.

Theater

A theater or theatre is a structure where theatrical works or plays are performed, or other performances such as musical concerts may be given. An auditorium is the area within a theater, concert hall, or other performance space is where the audience is located, in order to hear and watch the performance.

Club

A drinking, dancing, and entertainment venue which does its primary business after dark. A club is usually distinguished from bars, pubs or taverns, by the inclusion of a dance floor, stage and a DJ booth.

Outdoor Stadium / Festival Site

A stadium is a place or venue for outdoor sports, concerts, or other events that consists of a field or stage either partly, or completely surrounded by a tiered structure designed to allow spectators to stand or sit and view the event.
